Giveaway from My Place in the World

So, new to blogging, I thought I would start by putting up a giveaway for a print from my shop My Place in the World.  The contest is for one personalized print of a country with your heart on a special place, value of $24.

    Mind a few suggestion from someone who's been through her share of giveaways? First, it would be helpful to actually link to your shop in your post, since you're asking people to go there. You've already found my favorite place to list giveaways (etsygiveaways...where I found yours!). You can find some more of my faves here (http://www.squidoo.com/giveawaylinkies). Of those, I especially suggest you try the low entry linkies...and the best of those is Tightwad in Utah (she just delivers amazing traffic, right up there with Etsy giveaways).

    And a third suggestions...when you're first starting out, it's better to let giveaways run longers (a couple weeks is good, I've found...gives people time to find it, and if I give extra entries for sharing it, time for it to find its way to even more people). If you choose to do giveaways 3 days or less they can be considered "flash giveaways," and since some people search by that term might be a good idea to label it that way.

    Anyways, probably way more advice than you were looking for...but when I see someone with a really great prize (like yours) that they are funding themself, and with so low entries, I like to help out. :-)
